School Climate Challenge: Narrowing the Gap Between School Climate Research and School Climate Policy, Practice Guidelines, and Teacher Education Policy

A workgroup of national experts was formed to create this paper with background information and data on the history of school climate research, and the current status of school climate policy, practice guidelines, teacher education requirements, and resources. The report identifies challenges and needs that call for policy, practice, and teacher education reform, along with recommendations for teacher educators, policymakers, and practice leaders to measure and improve school climate.
