Living and Learning with New Media: Summary of Findings from the Digital Youth Project

This paper summarizes the findings from the most extensive U.S. study of youth media use. This report explains that digital world is creating new opportunities for youth to grapple with social norms, explore interests, develop technical skills, and experiment with new forms of self-expression. There are two major findings from the study, along with implications for educators and caregivers on how to facilitate youth engagement with the digital world.
