Restorative Justice: An Alternative to Traditional Strategies for Violence Prevention and Intervention

Traditional disciplinary action is not always the most effective strategy in preventing violence or responding to negative behaviors. This teleconference describes restorative practices in schools as an innovative alternative. Presenters provide an overview of different practices in schools and shared their experiences with the participants. They illustrate how parents and communities can resolve problems and repair harm through restorative measures.
