Date/Time (ET):
October 24, 2006 - 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Led By:
National Center for Mental Health Promotion and Youth Violence Prevention

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based approach to dealing with challenging behavior. The program incorporates a variety of systemic and individualized strategies to improve individual behavior of students. Recently, school-wide PBIS approaches have had promising outcomes, and results suggest that it is an effective approach to reduce student problem behavior and improve the overall climate of the schools. This teleconference is a follow-up to the PBIS teleconference on September 19, 2006.

Liza Andrew-Miller, Carol Sadler, and Kristen Werts of the Hillsboro School District answer questions and discuss their experiences implementing the PBIS program.
