10 Strategies for Communicating with Latino Families

This teleconference, hosted by the Latino Networking Group offers ten strategies for communicating with Latino families through Safe Schools/Healthy Students. Communication Specialist, Marcela Aguilar, presents different ways to engage Latino families, both in communities with traditionally large Latino populations, as well as those with a growing number of Latinos. Issues of translation and appropriate adaptation of materials for Spanish speakers are also covered. Grantees have the opportunity to interact with each other and share their strategies for communicating with Latinos and increasing their participation in SS/HS programs and services.
