Teens and Prescription Drugs: An Analysis of Recent Trends on the Emerging Drug Threat
This Office of National Drug Control Policy report examines the intentional abuse by adolescents of such prescription drugs as pain relievers, tranquilizers, stimulants, and sedatives. It discusses the need to address teen perceptions that abuse of prescription and over-the-counter drugs are safer than illegal drugs, as well as parents' lack of awareness of this problem.
