The Blueprints for Violence Prevention initiative evaluated the implementation quality of 9 violence and drug prevention programs in 147 sites and identified 6 critical components of successful implementation: site needs assessment, effective organization, qualified staff, empowered program champion(s), program integration into an agency's goals and mission, training and technical assistance, and implementation fidelity. The report goes on to highlight lessons learned and recommendations for each critical component.
