This report describes the process of selecting and implementing interventions in schools. It is a comprehensive examination of the challenges facing program staff and offers successful strategies for dealing with challenges. The paper is divided into six sections: (1) identifying and describing the problem, (2) developing the capacity to address the problem, (3) selecting a target group and setting, (4) selecting interventions and programs, (5) implementing and sustaining interventions and programs, and (6) evaluating interventions and programs.
