Safe Schools/Healthy Students Grantees Report Reduced Alcohol Use Among Students
Alcohol use among children and adolescents can result in severe consequences, for example it can lead to serious health problems and accidental death and present risk for school failure and delinquent behavior. Such alcohol use also brings financial consequences for society. Data has shown that the Safe Schools/Healthy Students initiative has been successful in reducing alcohol consumption among students at participating SS/HS school districts.
