Mental Health of Adolescents: A National Profile, 2008
This brief on adolescent mental health aims to inform health professionals, policymakers, educators, administrators, and school-based health centers concerned with the health and well-being of adolescents. It presents national data on mental health status, including measures such as substance abuse, suicide, learning disabilities, depression, conduct disorders, anxiety disorders, and eating disorders. It also addresses utilization of services, prevalence of treatment, and assesses shortcomings of current data and offers recommendations to address these limitations.
