Effective Psychosocial Interventions for Youth with Behavioral and Emotional Needs

This report provides a summary of a review of 322 studies on interventions, services, and medications for youth with significant emotional or behavioral needs. The interventions are primarily organized around particular problem behaviors (e.g., anxious or avoidant behavior problems) and then ranked on a five-level scale of treatments with the best scientific support to those with minimal to no support.
