Implementing Restorative Practices
The participants will have the opportunity to learn how a successful restorative justice project has been integrated into schools with high levels of suspension for both violent and non-violent education disruptions. Participants will learn strategies for community building, repairing harm, and data collection to show the value added when using restorative measures. This workshop will give participants a chance to learn about Restorative principles and the experience of using circles, one of the primary community-building tools used in classrooms. Most importantly, the workshop will focus on sustainability of restorative justice processes in the community.
