Promising Practices in Cultural Competence
This Web page provides examples of promising practices in cultural competence in various settings and communities. These include several examples from communities similar to several Project LAUNCH communities, such as a Latino Network in Westchester County, a Shaman and Physicians Partnership for Hmong Refugees, and an American Indian/Alaska Natives network in Seattle that uses traditional practices to reach American Indian/Alaska Native women to reduce the risk of SIDS.
