The National Center for Mental Health Promotion and Youth Violence Prevention created the NIS Toolkit and website to address the issues that school and community partners face regarding information sharing about students in multiple systems. The Toolkit and website include essential information about implementing information-sharing policies and protocols, the laws that pertain to information sharing, and scenarios that show how to handle common cases.
