This fact sheet provides a brief statistical summary of the number of lives saved by minimum drinking age laws, seat belts, child restraints, air bags, and motorcycle helmets in the United States as a whole, and in each individual state. This summary also reports on the number of additional lives that would have been saved at 100 percent restraint use.
