Provides resources to empower members facing crises and to guide their school communities toward hope, healing, and renewal. Includes 4 sections: Before a Crisis; During a Crisis; Moving Beyond Crisis; Tools for Educators; and a list of online resources. This guide was drafted with the direct input of state and local association staff who want others to benefit from the difficult lessons they've learned and can help members achieve three basic objectives: improve an organization's ability to respond in a crisis by supporting planning and preparation, coming to the immediate aid of affected and vulnerable students, staff, and community members, and vigorously advocating for children and school staff in healing and rebuilding.
