Conference on School Safety

This Web site houses materials from the White House Conference on School Safety. Discussion panels covered: (1) the scope of the school violence problem; (2) steps schools and communities can take to help avert new tragedies; and (3) short- and long-term needs of schools and communities following traumatic events. This resource also includes a fact sheet, transcripts and videos of a panel discussion on school violence and violence prevention, and a list of federal, state, and local resources on the subject of school safety.
