Characteristics of Juvenile Suicide in Confinement
This bulletin draws on data from the first national survey of suicides of youth in confinement to review juvenile suicides that occurred in confinement between 1995 and 1999. It describes the demographic characteristics and social history of the victims and examines the characteristics of the facilities in which the suicides occurred.
