Economic crises can have a significant impact on schools. Families and school staff may experience increased stress and decreased stability due to lost or reduced incomes and unemployment, Students may be coming to school with greater needs, social emotional difficulties and, in some cases, behavioral problems. All this puts significant pressure on teachers; therefore, it is critical that teachers are provided support in  tough and challenging times. This tip sheet provides suggestions to help support teachers dealing with stress.
