Organization:
Forum for Youth Investment and the RAND Corporation
Date Published:
June, 2011

This report describes findings from the first comprehensive biennial survey that assesses the state-level coordination of child and adolescent services. The executive summary of survey findings was released by the Forum for Youth Investment and the RAND Corporation at a congressional briefing held on June 8, 2011, in Washington, DC, which was followed by a 2-day symposium on children's cabinets. Contents of the executive summary include information on the prevalence of state coordinating bodies; the government agencies on the coordinating bodies and their non-governmental partners; the areas of child and youth development addressed and the data collected by coordinating bodies; and accomplishments of coordinating bodies in areas such as interagency planning and program improvement, leveraging resources, reducing duplication, and enacting policy.
