Promising Models for Funding and Sustaining School Mental Health Services to Immigrant and Refugee Families

Organization:
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation

School-based mental health programs have historically struggled to develop sustainable funding and financing arrangements. This Webinar features a panel of school-based mental health administrators who discuss their successes in developing financing models for their programs. All three programs are currently serving immigrant and refugee student populations and their families. The Webinar features three different school mental health delivery models: a school district mental health model, a school-based health center-school district partnership model and a community mental health- school district partnership model. Each discusses their funding and sustainability strategies. The three presenters are part of the Robert Wood Johnson Caring Across Communities initiative, a national grant program that has focused on meeting the mental health needs of immigrant and refugee students through school-based and school-connected mental health programs.
