Track 3: Improving Your School Climate Forecast

This track addresses many aspects of school climate within a framework of a promotion, prevention and intervention model. Nationally known researchers present content related to school climate and social emotional learning, and the impact they have on academic progress. Specific strategies addressing bullying prevention; early childhood interventions and the integration with existing school structures will be discussed. The overall structure of the sessions is a format that prepares project directors to lead their community initiatives by transferring this knowledge and engaging partners in collaborative roles of leadership to make real change.

Learning Objectives:

After participating in this track, Project Directors are able to: Share a clear definition of school climate; Communicate why positive school climate is important to achieving their SS/HS initiative
